Hardcore・Punkシーン、Black Musicの影響を受けつつElectronic Musicへと傾向。“Free Style of Undergound music”を掲げDeepでHeavy、Organicで空間的な選曲を得意とし、ジャンルを横断して幅広いアーティストやDJと共演。
Hawaiiホノルルで最もUndergroundな”Asylum”で日本人女性初のDJとして、
南インドMysore、Bangalore, Mumbai 東インドPuriでは東アジアからの初DJとしてPlayを成功させる。
BLACK SMORKER RECORDSからCDと限定アナログとしてリリースされたFemale Artistコンピレーション『 LA NINA 』にSHIHO the purplehaze『 Gold Dust Flowers 』が収録。
インドのレーベルJelly Fish Frequecsy Recordings のコンピレーション“MOEBIUS CHAMBERS”にもリマスタリングをインドで行ったバージョンがデジタルリリースされインド４都市でのツアーとIndia Surf Festivalに出演。国内ではDOMMUNE、yogaのフェスティバルにもDJとして出演。SHIHO the purplehazeのライフスタイルと音楽は、世界を旅して出会ったYoga、海、Tribalsから強く影響を受けている。

USA, London, Morocco, Brazil, and India. Multiple visits to unique countries had a significant impact on SHIHO. She has flowed through many stages in her life: record buyer, radio personality, music composer, model, and photographer. And now she has set herself on the path of music.
Following the “Freestyle of Underground Music” where there are no borders, her current music is deep and heavy, organic and spacious - Electronic infused with the essence of Punk and Black music, a style that fascinates listeners and artist from all genres.
The track “GRIND,” in collaboration with Rie Lambdool of CROSSBREAD, hit the top of the charts in Germany before its actual release. In 2008, the purplehaze was featured in the magazine “DJ 100 GIRLS” as one of the best female DJs worldwide. You can find Shiho’s keyboard,harmonium, and vocal work in the music of DJ 3000’s Mix CD, Juzu aka MOOCHY “MOVEMENTS feat. Shing02″, and many others.
In the years of 2010 and 2011, the wheels of her career started to spin faster. Kicking off with Dommune/Life Force/Amate laxi, and then continuing with Asylum in Hawaii and Mysore in India, she rocked parties as the very first female Japanese DJ.
She returned to Mysore in 2012, where a huge party with crowds of yogis, yoginis, and DJs from the world over was awaiting her. Hosted by the locals at Fluid Lounge, her performance received great praise from an audience including locals and the people from the newspaper Mysore Times. Since then, Shiho has been personally lecturing Indian DJs and amateurs to help further their education.
Yoga brings her to India every year; her creative lifestyle introduced her to the Macrobiotic Diet and to Rastafarian Philosophy, and these ideas eventually brought her feet onto the Yoga mat.
In 2012, Shiho was officially authorized as an Ashtanga Teacher by the Sri K Pattabhi Jois Ashtanga Institute.
SHIHO the purplehaze is strong but flexible physically and mentally.
She teaches Yoga in combination with inspirations from a healthy way of living, and with a dedication to her true love of Music at her home base studio, yogalimt. This summer Shiho has just released the new track from Japanese underground Label name BLACK SMORKER RECORDS.
